This is a pioneering effort in developing horticulture on dry-lands. It is gaining wider popularity. JPH also has vegetable cultivation plots, and a fruit-plant nursery.
Because of water shortage, drip-irrigation networks are set up in all plantations. JPH also has developed an observatory with the help of Pune meteorological observatory. JPH has water and soil testing lab as well.
A dairy having 18 cows and buffallows has been developed. Sheep, 50 in number, provide organic fertilizer for agriculture.
JPH has vermiculture plots and bio-gas units.
