आनंदी शिक्षण (Anandi Shikshan) – (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Development Program)

Educational Resource Center started the project, Anandi Shikshan, in the year 2022.  The objective of Anandi Shikshan is to provide quality education to underprivileged groups in the society with the help of digital and educational resources and to develop the habit of self-study. The focus students are from 1st to 5th standards in urban settlements, in convoys with tribal people and hearing impaired students. Anandi Shikshan Project is implemented in Pune, Raigad, Nashik, Usmanabad and Sangli district.

Around 1300 students are learning in 52 centers. The ratio of teacher and students is 1:20. One co-ordinator is alloted to approx 7 centers.

Students learn Language, Mathematics and Environmental Studies for at least 6 hours per week with the help of educational resources like video based on each lesson, handbooks, songs, stories, games etc...  The educational curriculum is developed according to the learning abilities of the students.  The students of Anandi Shikshan, experience the fun of watching educational videos, use educational tools that are easy to handle and create games using their creativity. As a collective effort of  these activities, students develop confidence as well as interest in learning. As a result, a strong bond is created between Anandi Shikshan Project and these students.

Anandi Shikshan Project also aims at regular evaluation of the students. It is done in all the centers with the help of pre-test, practice-tests, monthly tests and final test. Baljatra (Children’s Festival), a special event is arranged, where, evaluation is carried out for Language and Mathematics based on the principle of ‘learn with fun’.

Periodic training sessions are arranged for the teachers and co-ordinators to educate them for the effective pedagogy to make the project successful.

Virtual Reality Lab  (आभासी प्रयोगशाळा

Educational Resource Center (ERC) is the technological wing of the Jnana Prabodhini that creates and produces creative educational content. Standing firm by our Founder's (V.V.Pendse) vision, we believe in staying abreast with Technology without compromising on quality content is the key to survive in the Modern era. We are happy to introduce our 3 unique experiments in the Virtual Laboratory of ERC – Megh, Sarita and Aranya

The basic ideology is to generate knowledge, awareness and a sense of responsibility about our Ecosystems in the young minds of India with the help of latest technology. Your support to this cause has been a great motivation to allocate resources and ensure quality completion in the right time frame.

We chose Augmented Reality (AR) as the medium. This project is a team work of - employees of ERC, B.Tech interns from MIT World Peace University, Pune, Vishwakarma University, Pune, Sinhagad College, Pune,  Symbiosis College, Pune and alumni of Jnana Prabodhini Prashala Pune and some Industry Experts.     The Interns receives hands-on experience on app development right from ideation, gathering information, devising a strategy, to app development and publishing.

Prabodh VR Science Lab

With the technology capabilities becoming more mature than ever, there is need to have the knowledge of emerging technologies. Learning about these technologies requires a different skillset as well as an access to a variety of resources and infrastructure. In order to address the learning challenges, JP has thought of vision of setting up a XR Lab program to develop, create various models for multiple subjects.

JP has Set up the High End AR and VR lab to reach out rural/under privileged children with the help of technology by empowering them in Science and Social Science. It  helps in exploring the relations among different subjects with the help of Experiential learning pedagogy. It also helps in establishing the process of evaluation as a background process while students are going through experiment-based learning experiences.
Using VR, skills like self-study, scientific attitude, awareness about the environment are developed in the students. For the secondary  level students, e-experiments are being created based on the educational curriculum related to science and social sciences. 36 science experiments have been created in VR for 8th to 10th standards students. Students studying in Jnana Prabodhini Prashala-Pune, Nigadi, Salumbre, Solapur, Harali in Maharashtra have tested these VR experiments and have given their feedbacks. The demonstration of VR has been arranged at the Center for Science. Education and Communication (CSEC), SPPU, Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park.  More than 800 students have experienced these VR experiments. This is the first Virtual Reality Lab in Maharashtra which aims at education of Science and Environment. The VR and AR have been made available to the students in other schools with prior registration. The membership of VR lab will be available to the Institutes, Schools, Non-formal Educational Centers, Mobile Labs.

Nisarg Mitra Olympiad

Nisarga Mitra Olympiad is an interesting experience for learning Science and Geography while creating Environmental Awareness. This Olympiad gives an engaging experience through the educational videos and games. When the students come out of the constraints imposed by the syllabus, they can experience the freedom and magic of independent learning. It helps to develop self-study skills. ‘We are allowed to make mistakes!’ is the Project methodology. There is no opportunity to correct mistakes in the school examinations, in contrast with, mistakes can be corrected while working on projects. Instead of ‘Learn from’ it is an opportunity to understand ‘To Learn is to Explore!’

Learning is the process of creating and constructing knowledge! In such learning process, students should ask questions, and those who know the answers should try to answer them using many different ways - It could be through lectures or seminars, by asking counter questions, by promoting experimentation, through practical experiences, or interviews. We must promote and continuously practice Project-Based Learning where students and teachers join hands in deciding what to learn and how to learn.
