Centered Video Hero

Empowering Learning Through Digital Innovation.

The Educational Resource Center at Jnana Prabodhini has played a key role in India’s national digital learning revolution by contributing over 2,500 educational videos to the DIKSHA platform, an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

These resources span a wide range of school subjects, aligning with the national curriculum to support interactive, learner-centric education. They are used by students, teachers, and education departments across the country.

This initiative is carried out in collaboration with:

  • Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT)

  • Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbook Production and Curriculum Research (Balbharati)

The goal is clear: to create inclusive, multilingual, and accessible educational content that meets the needs of all learners, including those with hearing impairments and those studying in regional languages.

Here’s a snapshot of our impact so far

Latest Additions for the 2024–25 Academic Year

In the 2024–25 academic year, the ERC team created 175 new educational videos in Marathi, Hindi, English, and Indian Sign Language (ISL). These videos are based on:

  • Environmental Studies for Grade 5

  • Mathematics for Grades 6 and 9

This multilingual content ensures that learners from different regions and language backgrounds can understand complex subjects with ease.

The videos are pedagogically structured, featuring real-life examples, animations, and assessments that aid in conceptual clarity. This year’s additions continue to uphold the ERC’s mission to create meaningful and inclusive learning experiences.

Indian Sign Language (ISL) Initiative

✅  Making Learning Accessible for All

Since 2021, ERC has taken major strides to make education inclusive for hearing-impaired learners by producing content in Indian Sign Language (ISL). So far, over 324 ISL videos have been created, covering core curriculum topics in an easy-to-understand visual format.

These videos are designed with a focus on:

  • Simplified explanations

  • Visual storytelling

  • Sign-supported teaching of key concepts

Indian Sign Language Flipbook

To complement this effort, ERC has also published a 288-page Flipbook that presents key vocabulary from seven core subjects in ISL. This Flipbook serves as a valuable tool for both students and educators working in inclusive classrooms.

The ISL project not only supports learners with hearing impairments but also promotes awareness of sign language in mainstream education.
