Bhumi – Explore India Through Play (Upcoming)
About the Project
Bhumi is a table-top educational game that integrates physical tokens, computer vision, and projectors to create an immersive geography learning experience. Built for Indian classrooms, especially rural areas, it functions entirely offline using a Raspberry Pi.
How It Works
- Players roll a dice with ArUco markers.
- A camera reads the top face to determine question category.
- A question is projected, players interact using tokens.
- Scores are updated in real-time on the projected display.
- No internet needed – works completely offline!
Educational Impact
Bhumi boosts geography knowledge through play. With over 85% of test users reporting better engagement than textbooks, and a 75% improvement in quiz performance, it proves the power of tangible learning.
