ज्ञान प्रबोधिनीस्पर्धा परीक्षा केंद्राच्या त्रिदशकपूर्ती निमित्त आपण आपले अधिकारी आणि इतर क्षेत्रात उत्तम काम करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांचे Good Practices Document तयार करत आहोत.
UPSC परीक्षेच्या प्रवासात जितकी जिद्द आणि चिकाटीची गरज असते तितकेच महत्व आवड आणि आनंद याला सुद्धा असते. जर UPSC च्या अभ्यासात आवड निर्माण होते नसेल, या प्रवासातून तितका आनंद मिळत नसेल तर आपला मार्ग आणि उद्दिष्ट वेगळे आहे असे समजून ते शोधणे खूप महत्वाचे असते. ज्या कोणाला याची प्रचिती येते ते तसा आपला वेगळा मार्ग चोखाळतात.
आपल्या लेख मालिकेतील पुढील विद्यार्थिनी ही त्या प्रचिती येणाऱ्यांमधील एक आहे. एक वर्ष मनापासून झोकून देऊन अभ्यास केल्यावर आपला मार्ग वेगळा असल्याची प्रचिती तिला आली आणि तिने त्याप्रमाणे पावले उचलली. तेव्हाच्या त्या आपल्या निर्णयाबद्दल ती विद्यार्थिनी फक्त आनंदीच नाही तर आपल्या वेगळ्या निवडलेल्या मार्गात तिने भरपूर यश, समाधान आणि मोठा नावलौकिक देखील मिळवला आहे. आपली ही विद्यार्थिनी म्हणजे फक्त महाराष्ट्र नव्हे तर भारतातील ज्येष्ठ महिला पत्रकारांमध्ये गणल्या जाणाऱ्या, प्रबोधिनीच्या २००७ -०८ वर्गाच्या सौ. विनया देशपांडे पंडित .
सौ. विनया या सध्या द हिंदू या वृत्तपत्र आणि वृत्तवाहिनीच्या महाराष्ट्र प्रमुख म्हणून काम करतात. आपल्या पत्रकारितेतून मागील १५ + वर्षाच्या कार्यकाळात त्यांनी अनेक राजकीय, सामाजिक प्रश्नांना वाचा फोडली आहे. २६/११ च्या मुंबई हल्ल्यात प्रत्यक्षस्थळी कार्य बजावले आहे, परराष्ट्रातून येणाऱ्या अनेक नेते मंडळींची, उद्योजकांची मुलाखत त्यांनी घेतली आहे. अशा पत्रकारितेच्या विविध छटा त्यांच्या प्रवासातून, अनुभवातून आपल्याला पाहायला मिळतात. आणि हे सगळे असूनही सौ. विनया या तितक्याच उत्तम गृहिणी आहेत आणि आपल्या वैयक्तिक जबाबदाऱ्यासुद्धा त्या तितक्याच आनंदाने, समतोलाने सांभाळतात.
त्यांचे अनुभव, त्यांचे कार्य आणि जीवनप्रवास आपण सर्वानी जरूर वाचावा, अनुभवावा असे आवाहन आणि शुभेच्छा!

On the occasion of the completion of Three decades (Tridashakpurti) of the Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examination Centre, we are preparing a Good Practices Document highlighting our officers and students who are doing exemplary work in various fields.
The UPSC journey demands not only perseverance and determination but also interest and joy. If one does not develop an interest in the preparation or find satisfaction in the process, it is important to recognize that their path and goals may lie elsewhere—and accordingly one should show courage to pursue them.
The next student in our series is one such example. After dedicating a year wholeheartedly to UPSC preparation, she realized her true calling lay elsewhere and made a decisive shift. Today, she is not only happy with that decision but has also achieved remarkable success, recognition and satisfaction from her chosen field. She is Mrs. Vinaya Deshpande Pandit.
Vinaya is from the 2007–08 batch of JPCEC, and is counted among the senior women journalists in India. Currently, she serves as the Bureau Chief, The Hindu, Maharashtra.
With over 15 years in journalism, she has highlighted several political and social issues, reported on-ground during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and interviewed numerous international leaders and business figures. Her journey reflects the diverse dimensions of impactful journalism.
Alongside her professional achievements, she gracefully balances her role as a homemaker, managing personal responsibilities with equal dedication.
