नमस्कार,
ज्ञान प्रबोधिनी स्पर्धा परीक्षा केंद्राच्या त्रिदशकपूर्ती निमित्ताने विविध क्षेत्रांत उल्लेखनीय कार्य करणाऱ्या आपल्या माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचे Good Practices Document तयार करत आहोत.
UPSC चा अभ्यास हा अधिकारी होण्यासाठी केला जात असला तरी या प्रवासातील अनुभव शिक्षण आणि विविध विषयांचे ज्ञान , एक चौकस दृष्टिकोन आणि त्यातून systemic thinking तयार करायला मदत करते. जे कोणी या प्रवासात तसा व्यापक हेतू बाळगून अभ्यास करतात त्यांच्या कामातील उत्तमता आणि व्यक्तिमत्वातील वेगळेपण ठळकपणे कायम दिसून येते.
आपल्या या लेखमालिकेत पुढील लेख एका अशाच विद्यार्थ्याच्या प्रवासावर आधारित आहे ज्यांनी UPSC मधील यश मिळाले नाही याकडे न पाहता या प्रवासातून आणि प्रबोधिनीतून व्यक्तिमत्व विकसन कसे झाले याकडे पहिले आणि आपला वेगळा मार्ग निवडला.
आपले हे विद्यार्थी म्हणजे २००९ च्या तुकडीचे श्री. रोहन काटेपल्लेवार.
श्री. रोहन यांनी सुरवातीला PMRDF (Prime Minister Rural Development Fellow) म्हणून छत्तीसगढ मध्ये रोजगार आणि कृषी व्यापार क्षेत्रात उल्लेखनीय काम केले ज्याची दखल खुद्द केंद्रीय ग्राम विकास मंत्रालयाने सुद्धा घेतली. Fellowship नंतर श्री. रोहन हे मागील १०+ वर्ष Social Impact आणि त्यातही शिक्षण, साक्षरता या क्षेत्रामध्ये कार्यरत आहेत. अनेक नामवंत आंतरराष्ट्रीय सामाजिक संस्थांसोबत त्यांनी काम केले आहे. प्रत्येक ठिकाणी चौकस विचारातून, systemic thinking वापरून आणि या सगळ्याला AI सारख्या आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाची साथ देऊन प्रश्न सोडवण्यावर त्यांचा कायम भर राहिला आहे जी त्यांच्या कामातील विशेषता सुद्धा आहे.
आज या सगळ्याचा वापर करून ते विविध राज्यात काही लाखहुन अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांना साक्षरता शिक्षण देत आहेत तर ५० ,००० + शिक्षकांना कार्यशाळेच्या मार्फत प्रशिक्षण देत आहेत.
त्यांचा हा वेगळा प्रवास, त्यामधील कार्य आणि आपण सर्वांनी नक्की वाचावा असे आवाहन आणि शुभेच्छा!!

On the occasion of the completion of three decades (Tridashakpurti) of the Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examination Centre, we are preparing a Good Practices Document highlighting our officers and students who are doing exemplary work in various fields.
While the UPSC journey is often pursued to become an officer, beyond that, a crucial aspect is the learning it offers—deep knowledge across subjects, a curious mindset, and the development of systemic thinking. Those who approach it with this wider perspective consistently stand out through their excellence.
The next article in this series highlights the journey of such a student—one who instead of getting demotivated due to lack of success in UPSC, saw the brighter side of personal growth and transformation gained through this preparation and learnings at Prabodhini, ultimately carving his own path.
This student is Mr. Rohan Katepallewar from the JPCEC 2009 batch.
He began his career as a PMRDF (Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow) in Chhattisgarh, where he made notable contributions in employment and better income yield for farmers, earning recognition from the Union Ministry of Rural Development. Over the past 10+ years, he has worked in the social impact sector, particularly in education and skilling, collaborating with several leading international organizations.
His work is marked by a strong emphasis on problem-solving through critical thinking, systemic approaches, and the integration of modern technologies like AI. Today, he is impacting lakhs of students across multiple states through literacy initiatives and has trained over 50,000 teachers through workshops.
