Kalpataru Hospital

The Government of Maharashtra has granted a land of 4 H 60 R to JP for use of Educational and
Medical purpose activities bearing address as Jnana Prabodhini” Agriculture Technical School at post
Khed Shivapur, Tal. Haveti, Dist, Pune 412245. In order to make use of the land for the purpose given
Jnana Prabodhini has decided to build and run a model rural hospital on the same. Jnana Prabodhini
has secured all the necessary permissions required for such hospital project and currently the initial
fund raising and detailing of the building plan is underway.
The hospital will be a 100 bedded hospital with basic Specialities of Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics,
Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paediatric, ENT and Ophthalmology. This will be low cost and affordable to
society in local rural areas. here would be emphasis on women health, antenatal check-ups,
neonatal and child-care, vaccination, skin diseases, blindness prevention, general health awareness
about holistic health in nearby rural areas. The hospital will also cater for prevention and cure of
chronic diseases using all methodologies and practices of medicine including but not limiting to
Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Nutrition etc.
There would be 60% bed strength in General wards, 20% in semi-private & 20% in private room
structure. There would be fixed low-cost packages for common curable diseases. After established
activities, Prabodhini also plans to have a training center for doctors about rural health requirements
and expects that research protocols addressing rural needs would also be carried out in the said
premise.
Approximate area of the hospital would be 3,000 sq. meter and the initial cost of establishment of
the phase 1 would be approx. Rs, 30 crores. The plan will be to expand this to a 200-bed hospital in
phase 2 and start a Nursing Training College in the said premise.
