नमस्कार,
ज्ञान प्रबोधिनी स्पर्धा परीक्षा केंद्राच्या त्रिदशकपूर्ती निमित्ताने विविध क्षेत्रांत उल्लेखनीय कार्य करणाऱ्या आपल्या माजी विद्यार्थ्यांचे Good Practices Document तयार करत आहोत.
सध्या आपण विकसित भारत @२०४७ हे उद्दिष्ट डोळ्यासमोर ठेऊन विविध क्षेत्रात प्रगती करत आहोत, नवीन धोरणं आखत आहोत. आणि या सर्व विकास वाटांवर भारतातील आणि त्यातही महाराष्ट्रातील शहरं growth engine म्हणून वाढत आहेत, प्रगती करत आहेत. पण हे सर्व करताना अनेक प्रश्न सुद्धा उद्भवत आहेत. रहदारी, प्रदूषण, वातावरण बदल, स्वच्छतेचे प्रश्न, अनाधिकृत दुकाने अशा अनेक गोष्टींमुळे नागरिकांना अनेक समस्यांना सामोरे जावे लागत आहे.
या प्रश्नांवर काम करण्यासाठी आणि समस्या सोडवण्यासाठी अनेक अधिकारी, प्रशासकीय यंत्रणा अविरत काम करत आहे.

श्री. संजय शिंदे हे महाराष्ट्र लोकसेवा आयोग (MPSC) राज्य सेवा २००४ तुकडीचे मुख्याधिकारी आहेत.
मागील १५+ वर्षात श्री. संजय यांनी महाड, ठाणे, खोपोली, मीरा भाईंदर, पुणे अशा नगर-महानगरात काम केले आहे. आपल्या कार्यकाळात त्यांनी स्वच्छतेचे, अनाधिकृत दुकानांचे, पूरस्थितीचे असे अनेक प्रश्न हाताळले आहेत. महाडमध्ये असतान ऐतिहासिक चवदार तळ्याला पुनरुज्जीवित केले आहे. तर दुसरीकडे पुणे, ठाणे, मीरा भाईंदर सारख्या महानगरात वन उद्यान, शहरी पर्यावरण, मूलभूत सोयी सुविधा यासाठी गरज पडली तर विरोध पत्कारुन, दबावाला न डगमगता अनेक उपाय योजना राबविल्या आहेत.
या कामांसाठी श्री. संजय यांना स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण, माझी वसुंधरा अभियान अंतर्गत पुरस्कृत सुद्धा करण्यात आले आहे.
त्यांचा हा प्रेरणादायी प्रवास आपण सर्वांनी नक्की वाचावा—असे आवाहन!

On the occasion of the completion of three decades (Tridashakpurti) of the Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examination Centre, we are preparing a Good Practices Document highlighting our officers and students who are doing exemplary work in various fields.
India is currently progressing toward the goal of Viksit Bharat @2047, with new policies and development across multiple sectors. Cities in India—especially in Maharashtra—are emerging as key growth engines. However, this rapid urbanization also brings challenges such as traffic congestion, pollution, climate change, sanitation issues, and unauthorized constructions, affecting citizens’ daily lives.
To address these issues, many officers and administrative systems are working tirelessly.
The next article in our series features journey of one of those officers – Mr. Sanjay Shinde, a 2001 batch student of the JPCEC and currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
Mr. Shinde is a Chief Officer (CO) from the MPSC 2004 batch. With over 15+ years of experience, he has served in cities like Mahad, Thane, Khopoli, Mira-Bhayandar, and Pune. During his tenure, he has effectively handled issues related to sanitation, unauthorized shops, and flood situations. In Mahad, he led the restoration of the historic Chavdar Lake. In major cities like Pune, Thane, and Mira-Bhayandar, he has implemented initiatives related to sustainable urbanisation, green spaces, and basic civic amenities, often taking firm decisions despite opposition.
For his work, he has been awarded under initiatives like Swachh Survekshan and the Majhi Vasundhara too.
