ज्ञान प्रबोधिनी स्पर्धा परीक्षा केंद्राच्या त्रिदशकपूर्ती निमित्त आपण आपले अधिकारी आणि इतर क्षेत्रात उत्तम काम करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांचे Good Practices Document तयार करत आहोत.
या लेखमालिकेतील पुढील लेख एका अत्यंत मेहनती, जिद्दी आणि उत्कृष्टतेचा ध्यास घेतलेल्या विद्यार्थ्याच्या प्रेरणादायी प्रवासावर आधारित आहे. १०वी–१२वीमध्ये उत्तम गुणांनी यश मिळवल्यानंतर त्यांचीBITS Pilani येथे निवड झाली. मात्र घरची परिस्थिती लक्षात घेऊन त्यांनी महाराष्ट्रातच अभियांत्रिकी शिक्षण पूर्ण केले. त्यानंतरTELCO (आताचे Tata Motors) मध्ये कॅम्पस प्लेसमेंटद्वारे त्यांची निवड झाली.
सामाजिक क्षेत्राची ओढ आणि अर्थपूर्ण करिअरचा ध्यास यामुळे त्यांनी पुढे अभियांत्रिकी सेवेमध्ये जाण्याचा प्रयत्न केला.Engineering Services Examination मध्ये अखिल भारतीय स्तरावर २८वा क्रमांक मिळवला . मात्र, यातून आपले अंतिम उद्दिष्ट साध्य होत नाही हे जाणवल्यावर त्यांनी UPSC मधून आयएएस साठी तयारी सुरू केली.नोकरी आणि घरच्या जबाबदाऱ्या सांभाळत, तसेचकामानिमित्त इंग्लंडमध्ये वास्तव्यास असतानाही त्यांनी अभ्यासात सातत्य ठेवले. दिवसाचे १६ -१७ तास अभ्यास आणि कामाला दिले आणि२००५ मध्ये अखिल भारतीय ८९वा क्रमांक मिळवत आयएएस पद मिळवले.

श्री. गित्ते हे सध्या त्रिपुरा राज्यात माहिती व तंत्रज्ञान, आरोग्य आणि औद्योगिकता अशा विविध विभागांचे सचिव म्हणून कार्यरत आहेत.
त्यांच्या २०+ वर्षांच्या कारकिर्दीत त्यांनी केलेल्या कार्याबद्दल त्यांनामा. पंतप्रधान, मा. मुख्यमंत्री यांच्याकडून गौरविण्यात आले आहे. त्याव्यतिरिक्त विविध स्तरांवर त्यांच्या विशेष प्रयोग आणि प्रकल्पांना देखील पुरस्कार मिळाले आहेत.
त्यांचा हा प्रेरणादायी प्रवास आपण सर्वांनी नक्की वाचावा—असे आवाहन!

On the occasion of the completion of three decades (Tridashakpurti) of the Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examination Centre, we are preparing a Good Practices Document highlighting our officers and students who are doing exemplary work in various fields.
The next article in this series presents the inspiring journey of a highly hardworking, determined, and excellence-driven student. After securing excellent marks in Classes 10 and 12, he was selected forBITS Pilani. However, considering his family circumstances, he chose to complete his engineering in Maharashtra.
He was later placed at TELCO (now Tata Motors) through campus recruitment. Driven by a passion for social impact and a meaningful career, he attempted the UPSC Engineering Services Examination and secured an All India Rank of 28. Realizing that this did not fully align with his ultimate goal, he began preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Balancing his job and family responsibilities—and even while residing in England for work—he maintained consistent preparation, dedicating 16–17 hours a day to work and study. In 2005, he securedAll India Rank 89 and achieved his goal of becoming anIAS officer.

Shri. Kiran Gitte is currently serving as Secretary in multiple departments including Information Technology, Health, and Industry in Tripura. Over his 20+ year career, he has been recognized by theHon’ble Prime Minister and Chief Ministers of Tripura and Maharashtra, and has received several awards for his innovative initiatives and projects.
